Story
In the heart of the remarkable colonial quarter, listed as a UNESCO world Heritage site, "Las Damas", the New World's first cobbled street, houses the Hostal Nicolas de Ovando. This historic building, which is also listed, comprises three stone housesbuilt in 1502, the very first to be built on this colonial land. This prestigious hotel bears the name of the first Spanish governor of the Americas and companion of Christopher Columbus, who resided here.
